Along Hollywood Boulevard, Musso & Frank Grill has been welcoming diners since 1919. The dark wood, familiar booths, and old-fashioned service recall a Hollywood where writers and actors settled in for more than a quick bite. Raymond Chandler and William Faulkner were among the literary names associated with the place.

The restaurant also appeared in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Not much convincing needed to make these surroundings look like an earlier decade.

Musso & Frank remains open on Hollywood Boulevard, serving another generation more than a century after its debut. Still a place to pull up a chair and enjoy a little old Hollywood. 10-26
