Ship 'n Shore Motel

The Ship 'n Shore Motel is located just a block off of the older alignment in downtown Saugatuck sitting on the banks of the Kalamazoo River. Summer visitors can sit along the river and watch and endless number of pleasure boats going back and forth between the docks in town and Lake Michigan. 12-08

Here's the motel sign for the Rose Dale Motel in Rochester, IN. This small mom and pop place is still operating even though it is now bypassed by the four lane US 31 highway.

The sign itself says "modern all year" as part of its marquee. 02-09

Here's an old postcard shot of the Columbus Motor Lodge in Columbus, OH. It appears that the motel is still there though the sign has changed.

According to the back of the postcard, the Columbus Motor Lodge is located at 3984 E. Main St. Route 40, in Columbus, Ohio. The motel features "Air Conditioned, Family Accommodations, Complete Efficiency Apt's. Playground. New Beautiful Heated Swimming Pool. Guest Laundromat. Nicely Appointed Rooms with T.V. and Room Coffee. Nearby Shopping Center, Bowling, and Fine Restaurants. Phone 237-5485". 02-09

Here's the Alamo Motel and its marquee featuring a carriage wheel, located in Columbus, OH. It doesn't appear that the Alamo Motel exists today.
