Here's the Arcadia Theatre in Olney, IL. This theatre looks to be still in business with an interesting sign area to feature show times.
The Town Theatre spells out its name in clear bold lettering. The Town Theatre is still open for business.
The Devon Theatre is still open for business and the marquee still lights up in full neon at night. The Devon Theatre originally opened in the 1930's.
Here's the historic Virginia Theatre, home of the Annual Roger Ebert Overlooked Film Festival as well as screenings of classics like 'Casablanca' and 'North By Northwest'.
The Illinois Theatre is another vintage theatre located in Illinois.
This old theatre called the Showplace 3 Theatre appears to have been converted into a triplex in recent day.
The Lafayette Theatre is still open for business in Lafayette, Indiana. Not sure if its still showing first-run movies in this day and age. UPDATE 04/08 :
The South Town Theatre in Springfield, IL still features its side marquee and deco facade. This old theatre building has now been converted over to a stained glass shop.
The Times Theatre still opens its doors for patrons in Jacksonville, IL. Check out the deco looking front facade on this gem.
The Princess Theatre in Beardstown now features a blank marquee. Not sure if this place is threatened or not.
Check out this historic theatre located in Salem, IL. The Salem Theatre is currently undergoing restoration.
