Looking for some good Japanese food as a change of place from the roadside burger or dog (hot)? Then follow this sign to Tokyo Garden. Can't vouch for the food, but the signs are nice, especially at night.
The New China Cafe in Merced features a marquee that fits the old roadside.
An interesting sign with an interesting name, the Mee Heng Low Restaurant advertises its chop suey dish to the passing public. Check out the Rice Bowl located in Merced. This place features both a cool old sign and a nice building. See the pics below.
The Far East Cafe in Bakersfield features a sign that's a cross between a standard blade sign and a pagoda cutout. In either case, the Far East is a welcome respite from the cookie cutter signage of today. Here's a shot of the Far East Cafe from a few years ago. Far East Cafe
