The Lanai Bar featured an eye-catching palm sign when it was in business back in the day. The Lanai, a glorious Tiki bar in the 1950s style, was demolished in 1989 to make way for a Walgreens. The Lanai was located along El Camino Real in San Mateo. 02-09
Here's the neon sign for the Viper Lounge in Hayward, CA. The Viper is located just up the street from the now closed and shuttered Hayward Bowl and was all aglow, but strangely closed. 02-09
The Peaks is a local pub found along Castro St. in San Francisco. Sporting a little bear looking character on its sign, The Peaks is a well known hangout for locals. 07-09
Here's a nice rooftop neon sign for The Eight Ball. The Eight Ball is a roadside bar found off the highway in Cotati, CA and its 8 ball sign can be seen from quite a distance away. Cotati is a town located just south of Santa Rosa in Northern California. 07-09
