This fine theatre in Alameda looks like it's still in fine shape to show first run movies. Well, at least from the outside. The Alameda Theatre is now home to a gymnastics center.

Check out the Hyatt Cinema in Burlingame, CA and its multiple arched front. This theatre looks like it used to feature Cinerama sound or some other special feature from the 60's.




Towne Theatre

The Towne Theatre still looks to be in great shape. The theatre opened in 1926.

The Towne Theatre appears to still be open for business near downtown San Jose. At the time this photos was taken, the theatre was showing an IMCS center.

The Broadway Theatre in Yreka is plain and simple, yet elegant in its design. This Northern California Theatre was still showing first run movies when this photo was taken.




Sierra Theatre

The Sierra Theatre in Susanville, CA still features first run movies. This quaint theater built around 1946 or so is located in the main street area of Susanville and also sports an intact marquee.
