The Orinda Theatre opened in 1941 as an art deco palace and a city landmark. After going through some tough times in the 1980's, including possible demolition, the theatre was refurbished and opened back up to the public in 1989. The Orinda Theatre is now the centerpiece of the Orinda Theatre Square shopping complex. 10-05
Parkway Theatre

The Parkway Theatre in Oakland was built in the 1920's and features a rooftop sign that can be seen for miles. 10-05

Del Oro Theatre

Check out the Del Oro Theatre, located in Grass Valley. The Del Oro opened on May 29, 1942 as a single screener. The theatre evolved into a triplex in 1993 and was subsequently renovated in 2003.
Presidio Theatre

Here's the Presidio Theatre in San Francisco. The owner of the 4 Star Theatre took over the Presidio, saving the theatre from closing in November 2003. Former owner was Century Theatres. 02-07
