Check out the fantastic animated neon of the Lariat Motel and its cowboy throwing a lasso around the motel lettering. Unfortunately, the sign no longer stands as the motel was razed on February 9, 2005. Fortunately, the Lariat sign was moved to be reinstalled at the Oats Park Arts Center. The Frontier Motel in Carson City also sports an animated neon sign that still works. Western Motel Here's the Western Motel of Fallon, NV. The neon letters cast a glow along the street.
The Aspen Motel in Reno may have less character as many of its other neighbors, but at least the sign lights up well.
Ox-Bow Motel Here's a nice shot of the neon marquee for the Ox-Bow Motor Lodge in Reno.
The Sage Motel marquee in Reno illuminates a great deal of red.
The Uptown Motel in Reno still features a neon lit marquee along the busy boulevard.
The Hi Ho Motor Lodge has just another of the neon lit motel marquees that are located in Reno.
Here's one of a few motel signs that point the way to the Scott Shady Court Motel in Winnemucca.
Here's a night shot of the Gold Key Motel of Reno, NV. This motel used to be one of the bunch of great mid-century motels in town.
The Sands Motel in Boulder City still features a neon lit marquee advertising its services.
