Ponca Motel
Abilene, TX

The Ponca Motel advertises the free HBO in each room. A different look from the Crest Motel above advertising the TV.

Ranch Motel
Dallas, TX

The Ranch Motel in Dallas still awaits its overnight visitors for the night. What a tranquil sight. This shot is the calm before a hail storm that featured hail the size of large rocks.

Check out this marquee for the Pal-Tex Motel that stands alongside the road. The sign still advertises "refrigerated air."

Tex Ann Motel
Palestine, TX

The Tex Ann Motel in Palestine, TX features a neon red star atop its sign. By the looks of things, it appears that this motel is still going strong. Not sure if the lettering or the star still lights up these days.

Siesta Motel
Tyler, TX

Here's the Siesta Motel in Tyler, TX, a court style of motel now abandoned and about one step away from the bulldozer. It must have really been nice 50 years ago.

This old roadside motel sign sits outside of the historic 66 Courts in Groom, TX. Yes, this is the same Groom of the leaning water tower and giant cross.

Drummers Inn
Fort Worth, TX

This rather tall marquee sits just outside of the Drummers Inn in Fort Worth, TX. This appears to be an old roadside sign.
