Check out this marquee for the Pal-Tex Motel that stands alongside the road. The sign still advertises "refrigerated air."
The Tex Ann Motel in Palestine, TX features a neon red star atop its sign. By the looks of things, it appears that this motel is still going strong. Not sure if the lettering or the star still lights up these days.
