Here's the huge marquee out front of the Alamo Plaza Hotel Court in Dallas. The sign brings back memories of the old Holiday Inn signs of yesteryear. 03-06
This motel, found just off the highway in Dallas, features a sign that advertises $19 a couple, hence the name Couple Motel. 03-06
The Eastern Hills Motel in Dallas, TX features a brightly painted sign next to the driveway. 03-06
Sometimes Texas can be quite hot and humid during the summer. During days like these, it doesn't hurt to see a motel with the name Kool Breeze Motel, like this one in Dallas, TX. 03-06

Not sure if this old motor court is called the Johnson Court or Motel 3. In either case, the motel grounds were fenced off. 10-06
The Mayflower Inn in Galveston, TX was built in 1941 and is designed in the shape of a ship. The Mayflower was being demolished in January 2007 and will be the future home of a mid-rise condominium development. More info can be found here. 02-07
The Sun Motel features a familiar looking marquee that is not unlike some of the other motels with the Sun name. 07-07
Check out the the marquee for the Steele Motel in San Antonio. Not sure if the sign is stating that there are 3 rooms with the rest being apartments or if the whole place has been converted to long-term housing. 07-07
