Gas for Less. That's the slogan for this Whiting Bros. Gas Station in Winslow, AZ. This Whiting Bros. is boarded up. As stated before, the Whiting Bros. chain has been around since 1926.

Not sure when the exact location opened up back in the day, The station was able to be accessed by both the west and east direction of Route 66 which are one way streets surrounding Winslow. 09-21

Check out the Kester's Volkswagenwerks and its colorful building on old Route 66. Found in Holbrook, Kester's features an old bug on top of the building. It appears that this is the location of an old gas station on Route 66. 09-21

 

 

 

John Osterman Gas Station

Here is a photo of the John Osterman Gas Station. This old historic station is found in Peach Springs, AZ along old Route 66. Word is the building was built by Oscar Osterman in 1932 and is distinctive by the rather large canopy in front of the main building. Today the gas station is owned by the Hualapai Indians and has been nominated to the National Register of Historic Places. 09-21
