Tagus Country Theatre

Here's a shot of the "world famous" Tagus Country Theatre sign in the Tulare/Visalia area. Tagus Ranch has quite a history in the Central valley, including serving as a camp for German and Italian prisoners back during World War II. Here are a couple of old signs advertising the Bakersfield Electric Motor Repair in where else but Bakersfield, CA. From the looks of these photos, it looks like the neon is still intact on these signs.

There's not one or two, but three signs advertising the Pioneer Mercantile Co. in Bakersfield.

Check out the two blade marquees on the left and center photos. All three sign are showing their age as they bake in the hot Central Valley sun.
