Here's the famous Carlee's of Borrego Springs, CA. The large boomerang arrow still graces this marquee. Or at least it did back when this photograph was taken more than a few years ago. Check more of the desert's old bars at where else but Roadside Peek's Roadside Taverns California Desert.

Coachella Burger

Hungry for some malt-o-meal? Well, the next best thing is a juicy burger from Coachella Burger. A good place to stop after fighting the heat and flies from the Mecca Roadside Man location. Check out more of the desert's burger places at Roadside Peek's Burger Joints California Desert.

Check out this googie sign outside of the Courtesy Coffee Shop in Blythe. Although the marquee still stands, the funny object sticking up from the sign's crown disappeared a couple of years ago. See other coffee shop favorites at Roadside Peek's Coffee Shops California Desert.

Located in the Route 66 town of Ludlow is the historic Ludlow Cafe. Once a prime eating place in town, the skeleton of this old building has been creaking apart slowly over the years. See the Ludlow Cafe and others at Roadside Peek's Roadside Cafes California Desert.
