Traveling the Miracle Mile, you will run across an old coffee shop across
from the former location of May Co, Wilshire. Yes, it's Johnie's,
the former Romeo's Times Square.
Here's a look see at the interior of Johnie's. Yes, it's a classic California
coffee shop. Unfortunately, this treasure of a coffee shop is now closed.
Say it ain't so, Johnie's!!!

Holiday Bowl (Remodeled)

Although the location is not quite just a coffee shop, the Holiday
Bowl does have a real doozy. Well, at least it had. Although this
place is now boarded up, it seems like the coffee shop part of this bowling
complex will be saved, thanks to the tremendous efforts of the Los
Angeles Conservancy's Modern Committee. Hats off to this non-profit
organization for perhaps saving another Southern California treasure from
oblivion.
Hawthorne Grill (formerly Holly's) Demolished

The Hawthorne Grill was part of the movie Pulp Fiction. Unfortunately,
it was torn down soon afterwards to make way for new development.
