The Gateway Motel recently redid its sign, with the neon in great working order.
Check out this shot of the City Center Motel at dusk with its sign proclaiming that it takes most major credit cards. This motel still lights up the roadside along formerly busy Fremont Street. UPDATE 07/07 : The motel was closed and remade into a Day's Inn a few of years ago. The marquee is now in the neon boneyard. 07-07
The Nevada Motel sign is another sign rescued and now sits at the Neon Museum. The motel dates the 1950s and was the first sign to feature "Vegas Vic".
Vegas Chalet Motel (Removed) Here's a nice marquee for the Vegas Chalet Motel. This arrow is featured prominently, pointing the way to the parking lot. It's always good to see motels with full working neon, especially in Las Vegas these days. UPDATE 05/06 : The marquee for the Vegas Chalet was removed a few years ago. 05-06
The Sky Ranch Motel along the east end of Fremont Street has not seen its neon sign light up for years. 07-07
The Vagabond Motel on the Las Vegas Strip featured a neon sign that fit in with the rest of the Vegas glitz. The Palazzo Hotel now has escalators in its place. 07-07
The Desert Rose Motel featured a dramatic neon sign in front of the motel. The Desert Rose was demolished and replaced by the Monte Carlo in the 1990's. 07-07
