The Butterfield Stage Motel features a great animated
neon display which catches the eye of roadside travelers both by day and
night. This motel is named after the Butterfield Overland Stagecoach line,
which ran nearby to Deming back before the Civil War.
Bel Shore Motel
Lordsburg, NM Photo by RoadsidePeek.com
Here's an old roadside motel that has seen much better days. The Bel
Shore Motel is now vacant is fenced off and barely registers
a resemblance to its glory days. To the near right is the swimming pool...
all filled in with dirt and brush.

Log Cabin Lodge (Demolished)

This marquee is for the Log Cabin Lodge in Gallup, New
Mexico. This roadside motel off of Route 66 has been vacant for many years
after holding the distinction of being a motor court with actual log cabin
lookalikes for motel rooms.
According to the book Route 66 in New Mexico, the Log Cabin Lodge opened in July 1938 and closed in the 1990's. After burning in April 2004, the motel has been demolished.
