Chip's Burger Village (Closed)

The burger joint Chip's Burger Village is found in Palestine, TX. What's rather prominent on this sign is the smiley weasely chef. The business was originally opened as Burger Ranch in 1963. It started out as an original drive-in serving up burgers, shakes, malts, and car-hops. In the 1970s, the restaurant became known as Chip's Burger Village.

A few years ago, MAMA Seafood Restaurant opened at this same site. 07-23

Off old US 80 in Grand Prairie, Texas is the Prairie Dog Drive-in eatery. The name befits the location. The Prairie Dog opened in 1985. Check out this neon sign located here.

While traveling through Austin, don't forget to stop at Dirty Martin's Kum-Bak Hamburgers which opened back in 1926. The burgers may be greasy but they're known to be delicious and satisfying.

Keller's Hamburgers is a drive-in burger joint in Dallas, TX that features reportedly great burgers. Check out this neon sign that graces the business. Keller's Drive-in has been opened since 1950 when Jack Keller opened his first of his Dallas drive-ins. Keller had once worked at the Pig Stand. 01-06

Check out the Wimpy's Hamburgers Drive-thru in Amarillo, TX. This old roadside eatery was an eye catcher off the roadside when this photo was taken back in 1999. The place looks to have most recently the site of a business called El Comal and appears to be vacant as of 2019. 08-2021
