Here's the marquee at Winstead's Drive-in in Kansas City, MO. Winstead's opened in 1940 and is located in the Country Club Plaza in town. Though no longer serving as a drive-in, this burger joint is still a Kansas City icon.

Winstead's is well known for its burgers and has received numerous accolades including being called "The Midwest's Burger King" by the Wall Street Journal in 1998 and AOL City Guide's "The City's Best Hamburger" in 2005. For more information, see Winstead's website. 12-10

Check out the old Pink Star Drive-in of Mandale, OH. The Pink Star features a standout star "eat" sign that's quite unique in its look.

Word is the Pink Star closed up back around 1990. 06-11

The A&W mascot is at the A&W Drive-In in Union City, OH. It is closed for the season, but also has a for sale by owner sign, so hopefully it reopened this Spring. 06-11
