The motel first opened under the name Court Deluxe back in 1932. 09-21 Route 66The Downtowner Motel sits on the block in between the east and west ends of Route 66 in Williams, AZ. Easy 8 Motel (Now Desert Sun Motel)
Winslow ,AZ

Route 66The Easy 8 Motel makes it easy to see where it is located due to the rather large sign that stands tall near the westbound end of Route 66 in Winslow, AZ. Located somewhat close to the downtown area, the Easy 8 sign has a huge boomerang arrow. The motel itself was built back in 1953.

The Easy 8 is now the Desert Sun Motel. The motel changed its name from the Easy 8 Motel almost 20 years ago. I believe the Desert Sun was the motel's originally name back when it was built. 09-21
