Earl's 66 Motel

The Earl's 66 Motel is an old Route 66 motel located in Winslow, AZ. The sign says "Sleeping on the corner in Winslow, Arizona" as a play off of the famous corner made famous by the Eagles in the 1970's.

According to the Earl's 66 Motel website, the motel was constructed in the early 1950's, and is the only original motel that continues to be in full service along the 66 in Winslow. 04-09

UPDATE 09/21 : Check out these photos of Earl's Motor Court taken in 2020. Will add more photos of Earl's taken through the years. This motel has been known for taking on the names of its owners. Back in the day, the motel was named the Marble Motel and was run by Rex Marble and his wife. Then in the 1970s, the Earl's owned and operated the motel. Finally in 2018, Angela Archibeque and Blas Sanchez bought the motel in 2018, however has kept the name Earl's. If you are in the area, be sure to give this motel a try for your overnight. Angela and Blas provide great hospitality and their dog is very friendly as well. 09-21

Saga Motel

Here's the marquee for the Saga Motel in downtown Flagstaff. This motel sign and it's neon has been gracing this Route 66 town for years. There is neon lettering on the side of the motel building as well. Word was the motel will be coming down for student apartments.

The Saga Motel also known as the Budget Host opened in 1961. While taken several years ago, it appears that this motel sign is still around. 05-20

Here's the sign for the Budget Inn Motel in Holbrook, AZ Check out the cool font on the sign especially lettering the word motel. Unfortunately the motel was razed and this sign is now just a memory. 09-21

Brad's Desert Inn Motel

Check out this cool old sign at Brad's Desert Inn Motel. The motel dates back to the early 1960s as Brad's Motel complete with 18 rooms open to tourists.

A couple of decades ago, the motel advertised rooms for $18. While the dollars went up at this Route 66 motel, the motel still survives into 2021 and featured a new paint job several years ago. 09-21

Delta Motel

The Delta Motel featured a cool old sign with a red arrow all the way through just recently when the sign was replaced. This motel is located off the old highway in Winslow AZ on the western side of town. The Delta Motel features 13 rooms. 09-21
