Crossroads Restaurant
Tucson, AZ

Check out this sign for the Crossroads Restaurant which is located in Tucson, AZ. The Crossroads Restaurant features a neon sign and an arrow that points the way into chicken, shrimp and beer.

The Crossroads Restaurant opened its doors in 1936 as a hamburger and hot dog stand. In time, the Crossroads offered drive-in service and still offers limited drive-in service to this day.

This family restaurant is a good place to grab a satisfying bite and these days features Mexican food. 09-21

Here's is Jerry's Restaurant in a shot from the late 1990's with the Copper Manor motel sign in the background. Jerry's used to be a restaurant and coffee shop chain and was known for their distinct signs, and food of course. This Jerry's is now gone. A Joe's Ribs is now at this location. Oh and by the way, the Copper Manor is now a Nite Inn. 06-23

Wild West Steakhouse
Buckeye, AZ

Buckeye AZ was founded in 1888 and is a small town in Arizona. It is also home to the Wild West Steakhouse. While it's named a steakhouse, it is actually a Mexican food restaurant and has received some decent ratings over the years. Not sure if this was actually a steakhouse when this photo was taken over 20 years ago as I did not get a chance to stop in for a meal. 06-23

Tucson, AZ

Here's the Ye Olde Lantern Restaurant as it used to sit alongside N. Oracle Road in Tucson. The memorable sign with the golden lantern and bulb lit arrow always pointed the way into this Tucson landmark.

The Ye Olde Lantern originally opened as the Green Lantern in 1924 serving up barbecue to locals and travelers alike. The restaurant was then reopened by Dean and Millie Short as the Ye Olde Lantern in 1959 and became known as a high end steak house with steak, lobster, and prime rib being offered up to hungry patrons.

The Ye Ole Lantern closed its doors in 2006 when the most recent owner decided to retire. The property was purchased by the Elks Lodge which is still at the location today. The sign was saved by a local collector who displays parts of the sign at his location. 06-23
