Well, all you dewds or dudes... check out the Dude Motel if your in Sacramento. You can't beat the advertisement for amenities such as "free kitchens."
Here's the Fremont Motel. And yes, this neon marquee does still light up.
Check out this unique sign for the Bermuda Palms Motel in San Rafael. The sign looks large enough to capture a driver's attention from a mile away. Unfortunately this motel has long been demolished and is now a Day's Inn.
Here's a vintage sign for the Vista Motel. The rust colors scream of the mid-century past.
The Lake Marina Motel advertises its brand both with its red white and blue marquee and lettering along side the motel.
Not sure if this indeed located in Northern California, but the colors do fit. The Lark Motel has a vintage marquee that's still in great shape.
Here are a couple of views of the Pepperwood Motel in Willits, CA. This motel advertises with the slogan "just like home." With color TV this motel features all the amenities... of the 70's.
