Ontario, CA

Vince's Spaghetti's flashy marquee directs the dinner crowd into the restaurant. This place has been around for many a year, opening its doors in September 1945 as a French dip stand. According, to the Vince's Spaghetti website, the place would still be a French dip place if the owner's uncle hadn't eaten a plate of spaghetti in front of its customers. The place is always busy and served over 1,500 miles of spaghetti each year. That's a lot of pasta!

Hungry for some all you can eat, with roast beef and ribs to boot? A couple of decades ago, long before the advent of the neighborhood Chinese buffet, the place to go to for a smorgasbord was Sir George's. This location in Arcadia is one of the last remaining. Well, at least it was still alive until 2009 when Sir George's shut down this Arcadia location forever.

Wagon Wheel Restaurant (Closed)
Oxnard, CA

The Wagon Wheel Restaurant was once a thriving business near the Wagon Wheel Bowl. Unfortunately, the Wagon Wheel Motel and Restaurant has been demolished and all that's left on site is this sign. See more at the Lost Treasures feature on the Wagon Wheel Motel and Restaurant.

UPDATE 12/06 : You have the restaurant listed as still being opened, but I am sad to report that the restaurant and motel both closed this past Sunday (12/10/06), and have a date with the wrecking ball. Many thanks to Jeff Babb for update. 12-06
