Next door to the Sage Motel was the Gold Key Motel. This motel featured interesting architecture and a large neon "Motel and Pool" rooftop sign. The motel also was destroyed.

Here's the Silver State Lodge in Reno, NV. Back in the late 90's the ancient cabins and octagon house had been sold to a house for wayward girls. They were scheduled to be moved.

More photos and information can be found here at Roadside Peek's Lost Treasures feature on the Silver State Lodge.

The Chalet Motel features a nice marquee advertising its vacancy.

This motel may also have met its fate with a bulldozer in the last couple of years.

The Ponderosa Hotel along Virginia is another of Reno's signs that have been inexplicably replaced. Granted, the new sign is more of today's garden variety hotel signs, but the old Ponderosa neon tree marquee was a sight to behold off the main drag and will be missed.
