Here's and old faded out marquee that looks like it took many hits from the Nevada desert sun. The star no longer shines at the Char Ann Motor Lodge. 02-07

The 7/11 Motor Lodge in Reno, NV makes reference to its casino area with the 7/11 yellow die on top of the motor lodge marquee.

A place named the Down Towner is an inviting name no matter what town you're visiting. Check out the boomerang arrow and lettering on this marquee.

On a trip to Reno in September, I found that the railroad has been put underground, the construction taking out a whole row of old motels. The sign from the Uptown Motel is all that remains of it. Many thanks to Dan MacPherson for info. 12-06
