It's always a shame to see a familiar roadside treasure disappear. It's
even worse when its neon lit. Well, how being located on a historical
alignment of Route 66 to boot? Well, you get the picture. The Cal
Oaks Pharmacy in Pasadena was recently demolished. 03-05

Toys R Us (Closed/Removed)

Here's a shot of Geoffrey the Giraffe standing guard over the Toys R Us in Rosemead, CA. Unfortunately, time has not been good to this giraffe, and he was unceremoniously removed when the store closed down a few years ago. A Levitz Furniture store currently occupies the site. 04-06
