Neon Signage Southern California

Oaks Pharmacy (Demolished)
Pasadena, CA

It's always a shame to see a familiar roadside treasure disappear. It's even worse when its neon lit. Well, how being located on a historical alignment of Route 66 to boot? Well, you get the picture. The Cal Oaks Pharmacy in Pasadena was recently demolished. 03-05

This Cross Roads of the World sign and location is at a separate site in Hollywood than the distinct tower building.

Check out the neon signage of these signs. To the far right is the bright neon marquee that's located right off the sidewalk. This other sign is the script lettering for the Cross Roads. 03-06

Here's a shot of Geoffrey the Giraffe standing guard over the Toys R Us in Rosemead, CA. Unfortunately, time has not been good to this giraffe, and he was unceremoniously removed when the store closed down a few years ago. A Levitz Furniture store currently occupies the site. 04-06
