Hot dog places are also a good roadside stop in the heat of summer and
the chill of winter... and the seasons in between for that matter. See
some here at Roadside Peek'sAvenue
of the Dogs Pacific Northwest.

Burger places are always great to see when your el stomacho is rumbling
louder than the car engine. Check out some from the Pacific Northwest
at none other than Roadside Peek'sBurger

Although Subway is a current sandwich chain, check out
all of the glass on this roadside building.
Hi-way Grille
Ellensburg, WA Photo and info courtesy Van
Here's a sign for the Hi-way Grille that was a landmark in Ellensburg
WA for decades. The restaurant was torn down in the late '80s and some
local guy saved the sign, erecting it outside his house just out of town.
It looks like it's got a recent repaint, but in its neon-lit glory it
was something to see.

Pietro's Pizza features a marquee that's rather unique in the way it incorporates an Italian chef into the design of the sign. This neon sign is a featured two lane buster in Portland, OR. 03-06
Ivar's Fish Bar

Ivar's Fish Bar is not necessarily a fast food joint but nonetheless the service and takeout is quick and the food is really good.
Ivar's began serving customers back in 1938. According to the Ivar's Fish Bar website, the late Ivar Haglund was involved in music and entertaining and Ivar's was born when he needed a venue to feed its guests. Ivar's has many locations, however this waterfront place is a real gem. 08-09
