The billboard was over a Sunbeam outlet store that appeared to have been closed for quite some time with the property being used for storage of Sunbeam delivery trucks. There were no signs of any activity around the building in the middle of the day. 02-08

Seeing an eye-catching highway billboard is a familiar part of any road trip. Here's a good example of such a billboard called Pan Fer' Gold, found in Cherokee, NC. 04-08
In the town of Zebulon is this factory still sporting its old signage for Devil-Dog Dungarees. 05-08
The Grocery store sign points to another place, still in business but miles away in the village of Hollister. 05-08
The Gibson guitar sign at the Sun Studios in Memphis, TN was only put up in about 2000 but it's a well done piece, with great details. if I didn't know it was a big sign hanging on a building I might think I was just looking at a picture of a real Gibson hollow body. 05-08
Here's an old style Sears sign greeting roadside travelers as it stands along Main Street in Dunn, NC. 07-08
Wilkesboro Speedway was one of the first speedways used for NASCAR and was still being used for time trials in the last 10 years. It has fallen apart in recent years but was a big draw for the southern crowds in NASCAR’s beginning years. 08-08
This is the largest Dr. Pepper sign I think I have ever seen. It is in downtown Roanoke VA. It appears that the neon still lights up at night. 08-08
