Another one of the famous Van Buren motels that no longer exist is the Airporter Inn. Check out the rather large marquee that appears to have been designed in almost a mission looking theme at first glance. This motel was replaced as a Paradise Motel. 11-20

The Arizona Motel features a mural looking marquee as it stands along side Van Buren. This Phoenix Motel appears to still be standing, though the motel property is fenced off and the motel rooms boarded up, at least as of the last pass through town in 2019. 11-20

Phoenix, AZ is home to this old Travelodge motel and its well recognized sign. Located at 965 Van Buren, the American Lodge Motel is situated at a convenient location near downtown. Or at least it used to be. The American Lodge and its sign were leveled in the past decade, replaced with a Super 8 Motel. 11-20

Check out this old sign for the Budget Inn Motel in Phoenix. Not sure why there is a 3 leaf clover on top of the sign. Perhaps it is in reference to the motel that was her prior? 11-20

Here's the sign for the Budget Lodge off Van Buren in Phoenix. This is another of the old Travelodge throwback signs. The motel closed and is now a Rodeway Inn. The sign stands but lost its cool lettering and coloring. 11-20
Deserama Motel (Demolished)

The Deserama Motel at 2853 E Van Buren Street is along the old Phoenix strip of roadside motels. The sign points the way into the motel lot where a poll and rooms with amenities like TV and and phones are available to the tired tourist.
Unfortunately, this motel is another Phoenix motel that is now a mere memory. A dirt lot exists where the motel used to stand. 11-20
Desert Inn Motel (Demolished)

The Desert Inn Motel at 950 W Van Buren St was leveled around 2012. The motel used to feature a cool looking motel building that reflected the 60's or 70's time era. Unfortunately this motel fell victim to urban cleanup. 11-20
