The Lone Star Motel used to show off its star along the main route in Phoenix before the interstate. Located at 3707 E Van Buren St, the Lone Star and its sign were quite the eye catching sight drawing in motorists looking to get a nights of rest before continuing on through Arizona. Well, the star no longer shines here as all that remains is a dusty empty lot going on over 10 years. 11-20

The Flamingo Airporter Inn was another old roadside motel that has seen better years off Van Buren. In fact it certainly has since the motel has been demolished. 11-20

The Liberty Motel and Apartments was a very well known Phoenix motel that was a nice place to stay back in the day. With its theme punctuated by a sign that featured the statue of liberty, the motel caught the eye of many tired motorists looking to spend the night. Unfortunately the Liberty, like the other motels in the area, became run down and was eventually demolished. The place is now an empty lot. 11-20

The Navajo Motel proudly served Phoenix locals and tourists alike for many years. The motel featured a rectangular red sign that appeared to be neon back in the day. Well the motel sign got replaced with a box looking sign around 2010. It appears the building is still here. Not sure if the motel has been converted to apartments. 11-20
