This is an authentic Howard Johnson's restaurant in Wilmington,
Delaware. Howard Johnson restaurants went out of business in the late
1970's, but a few profitable ones remained in business under private ownership.
This one is maintained just the way it was when it was built, probably
in the 1960's.
UPDATE 01/04 : The Howard Johnson's here in DE has been converted
to a new restaurant. Many thanks to Rick Pultorak
for update. 01-04

Hightstown, New Jersey is home of Mom's Peppermill Restaurant.
Mom's is famous for it's mechanical sign. At night, the sign becomes functional
as the crank on top of the peppermill turns via an electric motor. As
the crank moves, six rows of lights at the bottom of the sign alternately
blinks ground pepper. Any doubts? Then go check it out yourself.
