Sit Down Restaurants East

Carnegie Deli
New York City, NY

The Carnegie Deli is an icon out in New York. Located near Carnegie Hall, the deli is located along 7th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. This is the place to go for a heap of pastrami, corned beef, or other deli meets in a sandwich. You definitely need to come with a big appetite.

The motto for the deli is "If you can finish your meal, we've done something wrong". Well, they did something right when I was there because there was no way I was able to finish my meal.

Unfortunately, the Carnegie Deli closed down on New Years Eve 2016. Another old roadside landmark is lost to just a memory bank. 05-20

Revere, MA

Check out the piggy on top of the roof at Big Lou Rib House. Located across from Revere’s Northgate Shopping Center, Big Lou has served many a hungry eater over the years, especially the wayward traveler attracted by the roadside pig.

Well this piggy is no more, as this 338 Squire Rd location in Revere was demolished and is now home to a Joe's Market Mobil gas station. 11-20
