On the edge of Globe, AZ is this cool roadside motel and sign for the El Rancho Motel. The neon worked real well at this location which according to the sign featured color TV and refrigeration back in the 1990s. Fortunately the motel is still open. 09-21
Check out this sign near the El Rancho Motel called the El Rey Motel. The neon still lights up at dusk here. The motel was originally named the El Rey Hotel Court when it opened in 1938. While many Arizona signs have been beat down with the sun over the years, this sign was restored about a decade ago. 09-21

The Bow & Arrow Motel in Yuma, AZ was open for business back when the original photo was taken. The bow and arrow on the sign pointed the way towards the motel front office.
Well, like many other motels of the 50s and 60s, the Bow & Arrow Motel shut down. The sign was re-purposed as a sign for office and suites. 06-23
