Quail Inn Motel
Tucson, AZ Photo by RoadsidePeek.com
The Quail Inn Motel was definitely open for business back when this photo was taken in the 90s. The sign and familiar color stood out along busy Oracle Road. The sign color has been blue for many years now.
To the near right is another look at the Quail Inn. Looks like the satellite dish really stood out back in the day. 06-23

The Flamingo Hotel has underwent different ownership changes over the years. The Flamingo was built back in the day, 1952 to be exact, by Del Webb who is known for building the Flamingo in Las Vegas. The sign was installed in 1962.
Later in 2011, the hotel became the Quality Inn Flamingo. Today the property is listed as permanently closed.
Here's another view of the Flamingo Hotel was down the block. The Flamingo lettering on the hotel building is very distinct. 06-23

Corcovado Motel (Demolished)
Yuma, AZ Photo by RoadsidePeek.com
The Corcovado Motel in Yuma, AZ featured a very brightly colored sign with a yellow that really fit in with the hot environment. The motel was originally known as the Desert Gem Motel when it opened in 1957. The name was changed to the Corcovaco in 1973. The motel is now gone. The Desert Sun Plaza is now in its place. 06-23
Here is a postcard of the Desert Gem Motel from back in the day prior to it becoming the Corcovado Motel.
